Sourcing

Factual claims about visas, tax, insurance, healthcare and law are linked to primary or official sources wherever possible — government bodies, official portals, and reputable institutions. We prefer the original source over someone else's summary of it.

Dating & "last reviewed"

Rules and figures in this field change constantly. Every guide shows a visible last reviewed date. We never present a visa amount, tax rule or insurance figure as permanent — if a number could be out of date, we mark it for verification rather than guess.

Review

Sensitive pages — healthcare, money, legal and end-of-life — are written to be checked by a qualified person in the relevant field as our roster of expert reviewers grows. Where a page has been reviewed, we name the reviewer.

Independence

Commercial relationships never decide our recommendations or our verdicts. We disclose how we earn (see About), and we keep editorial judgement separate from revenue.

Corrections

We will get things wrong sometimes, and rules will move under our feet. If you spot an error or something out of date, please tell us — we correct promptly and update the review date.

We use AI tools to help draft and organise content efficiently. But every factual figure is human-verified against a source before publication, and a human is accountable for what goes live. AI never invents the numbers.
